Hi everyone, today I will talk about my favorite song.

Actually, and if I have to be honest, I don’t really have a single favorite song. That is, because I am really undecided about the things I like. For this homework, however, I choose “Mira niñita” of the folk rock band Los Jaivas, belonging to their trilogy record “Trilogía: El reencuentro”.

That song in particular has very sensible and deeply beautiful lyrics, telling a love story, but with highly open interpretations depending of whom are you asking about. For me, this song narrates a father’s love towards his daughter, something that touches me inside since I used to listen to Los Jaivas when I was a little girl, and my dad (during that time my parents were still together) often sang me “Mira niñita”. Many years later, when I practiced dancing, I danced to this song during a public presentation. That was the day when I reconciled with my father, because he went to see me and, after the presentation, went to reach me and talk with me.
 For all those reasons, Mira niñita represents for me the bond between a child and his/her father, in this case between me and my father. So anytime I feel bad, I listen to it and that helps me get better.
